Signs And Symptoms Of Blepharitis

Itchy eyes. Burning or stinging sensations. Frequent tearing of the eyes. Peculiar eyelid redness. Does this sound like you? If so, you may have a condition called blepharitis.

How Is Blepharitis Treated?

At our office, we offer BlephEx™, developed by Rysurg, which stands for blepharoexfoliation.

The BlephEx Procedure

It is a fast 5-minute in-office procedure wherein the doctor uses a patented handheld device to exfoliate and clean the eyelid to remove bacterial debris and other eye irritants. The procedure is well tolerated by most patients, and may need to be repeated in 4-6 month intervals. This new treatment can save patients hundreds of dollars on the costs of prescription drops and artificial tears.

Will I Experience Discomfort During BlephEx Treatment?

A numbing drop is usually placed in each eye prior to treatment for increased comfort.
